People's Candidate Initiative
About the Initiative
On February 6, 2008 Webster G. Tarpley, in an interview on the Jeff Rense Radio Show, called on the supporters of Ron Paul and other alternative candidates to continue their efforts beyond the 2008 presidential primaries. They should run for office themselves, and support other "people's candidates". IndyTruth's People's Candidate Initiative is the resource for Americans to do that. We will seek "people's candidates" nationwide, promote them here, and provide resources for voters to support their campaigns.
What qualifies as a "people's candidate"
- The people's candidate is not supported by corporate or foreign lobbying and financing.
- The people's candidate does not participate in elitist think tanks, secret organizations, or secret meetings (i.e. Bilderberg, CFR, Skull & Bones, Trilateral Commission).
- The people's candidate's policies are in line with the U.S. Constitution.
- The people's candidate supports a non-interventionist foreign policy discouraging military aggression.
- The people's candidate supports responsible policies for other issues, such as economics, education, and regulations. These policies should keep choices and services in the hands of individual citizens and local communities.
